We offer a staff with extensive experience of playing professionally in Europe, as well as coaching in the European academy system.  The head coach holds the prestigious UEFA A license and boasts connections in the Premier League, MLS, college systems, soccer agencies and English academies.

He has developed a proven soccer program designed around a ‘four corner model’ which consists of the following areas:

  • Tactical / Technical– Basic core skills, formations
  • Physical– Soccer fitness, coordination, balance
  • Psychological– Decision making, learning skills, confidence, rules, awareness
  • Social– Teamwork, communication, behavior, enjoyment, encouragement

We promote physical and emotional health, nutrition and hydration advice, healthy lifestyle, confidence building and social integration.  Through the motivational and inspirational power of soccer, we also aim to develop personal skills, improve academic achievement and build self-esteem

DME offer many opportunities with flexible training programs to fit the needs of players who prefer to stay in their local school system, are home schooled or would like to take advantage of our full academic program.  Alongside this we can facilitate a direct pathway to local club teams as well as integrate with ID camps in Europe.

DME believes a family’s financial status should not hinder a player’s future development and hence, scholarship opportunities will be considered alongside various program benefits to enable future growth in the game.

Our versatile soccer academy has been professionally designed to offer students a range of four options to adapt to their personal needs and requirements.

FULL ACADEMY SOCCER PROGRAM

The DME Soccer Academy program covers all aspects of the student / athlete’s needs pertaining to athletic development, academics, strength and conditioning and human development. The program runs for forty weeks a year, five days a week (excluding holidays) from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through to Friday.

Soccer: DME students are coached and managed by our UEFA ‘A’ License Coach and Director who holds an ‘A’ License in both outfield and goalkeeper coaching. He has gained over 22 years of experience playing in the professional English leagues and has coached for 10 years in the same leagues. Students will receive elite training five days a week but with added soccer education. This is based on real life situations and experiences that occur daily in a professional soccer player’s life. For example, being able to deal with the press, understanding the dedication and forfeits of a professional athlete, dealing with soccer agents, analysis of games, introduction to coaching and much more. Fitness testing will be delivered throughout the course and parents will receive weekly updates on the student’s progress.

Academics: DME utilizes the Florida Virtual School program for academics. This program was designed to offer a solution for the high level athlete who needs to balance training and school. This nationally accredited program is the nations largest State program of its kind and is used by developing athletes worldwide. The virtual program prepares students for college by requiring them to follow a University syllabus-style structure. Students are able to progress as they learn, allowing them to complete more courses during a school year than just required courses, should they wish. Lynette Bowman is our Chief Academic Advisor.  For further information about our academic program please see our Academics page. For further inquiries please e-mail soccer@dmesports.com
