Aidan Davison

AIDAN DAVISON/Director of Soccer

Aidan Davison’s top career as a professional soccer player spanned over 24 years. Including highlights of playing in England with the English Premier League and representing Northern Ireland at the full International Level. His accolades of career reflect quality and results of notoriety.

He joined Newcastle United FC  at the age of 16 to be an apprentice professional soccer player. Consequently, this lead to him playing for Millwall FC in the English Championship personally winning their prestigious MVP in his first full season.

With progression in Aidan’s career, Bruce Rioch signed Davison to the Bolton Wanderers FC where he played an integral part of the teams success reaching the FA cup Quarter finals. Bolton also reached the League Cup Final this year.

Grimsby Town FC was his next club, During this glittering two year spell, he gained promotion to the English Championship at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 fans where he also won the Auto Windscreen Trophy. The team kept a club record of 50 clean sheets/Shut outs in 100 games, with Aidan’s commitment to quality leading the way.

Bradford City saw the opportunity to acquire Davison during a contractual dispute, upon which he loyally respected Bradford City with distinction for 4 years. During Aidan’s time with Bradford City, he played in the Inter Toto European Cup Competition historically giving them their first taste of European soccer.

In 2004 Manager Phil Parkinson signed Davison at Colchester Utd FC as a player coach, marking the beginning of Aidan’s coaching career. Colchester experienced the most successful times of its history under the direction of Davison, including the promotion to the English Championship and an unbeaten run of 22 games. Both of which are still talked about to this day. In 2008 after 24 years as a professional, Aidan retired from playing at the age of 40.

During Aidan’s Northern Ireland career he was involved in European Championship Qualifier’s and World Cup Qualifier’s.

Aidan’s coaching experience has covered the English Premier League, IMG US development academy coach and Head Coach of FC Arizona who won their NPSL 2017 respective league.

When the opportunity came along to build a soccer program with the prestigious DME Sports Academy, Aidan entered a new challenge. He has the opportunity to educate and give back to the wonderful sport of soccer and share his 30 years professional knowledge with students and staff.

Davison currently holds the highest coaching licenses and certifications possible, the UEFA Pro License, UEFA A Licenses, USSF A Licenses and NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma. He continues to develop himself and his players with the utmost knowledge and character of a well rounded professional. With Davison’s qualifications it makes him one of the most experienced and qualified coaches in the USA.
