DME Prep Orange suited up against Webber International University Sunday afternoon.

DME prevailed over Webber, 94-89, in an exciting ballgame that went into overtime with a half-court buzzer beater by Damien Marquez.

DME controlled the first half, creating a lead up to 10 points, but Webber International cut the lead to four at halftime.

Damien Marquez finished with 31 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds, shooting 90% from the three-point line. Ralph Fabius added a double-double 18 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Maxime Egouy finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Starting the second half, Webber International took a seven-point lead and went on a 5-0 run. DME fought their way back into the game, with Marquez scoring two bigs 3-pointers to tie up the game in the last minute of the game. With the DME in possession of the ball and 0.4 seconds on the clock, Marquez hit a half-court shot that sent the game into overtime.

Fighting from the start of overtime, DME placed a 6 point lead that Webber couldn’t break. DME took home a victory 94-89 back to Daytona Beach.
